YMCA to Hold Karate

                  

 

• YMCA Karate will be for boys and girls ages 4 and up through adult.
• The students will learn a basic understanding in application of blocking, striking and kicking techniques. The classes will be fun and educational. Sensei Don Bracci will instruct the class.
• Classes will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting March 20.

Thursday class 7:15-8:00 for students 11 years-up and Friday from 5:00-5:45 for students 10-under. Saturday class 10:00am-noon all students.

• Class will be held in the YMCA gym.
• Sessions will be 6 weeks
• Cost is YMCA members $15.00, non members $35.00

• Adult Self Defense Class

 

The YMCA will hold an adult Self Defense class, this class will be for anyone 16 years old and up. The class will be taught by Karate black belt instructor Don Bracci on Friday evenings from 6:00-7:00 for 4 weeks starting March 26.

The self defense class will consist of basic defense techniques for chokes, grabs and ground work. Students will learn how to defend themselves in the event of a personal attack. This four week class will provide information to the students and give them confidence to fend off any potential attackers.

 

Class size is limited to 20 participants; the Hornell YMCA is currently accepting registrations for this class. For further information call the Hornell YMCA at 324-5520.

 

 

 

 

PERSONAL TRAINING: 

$12.00 PER HOUR OR 6 SESSIONS FOR $66.00

TWO ON ONE TRAINING $90.00 FOR 6 SESSIONS OR

$45.00 PER PERSON.

COUPLES LINE DANCING

BEGINNING ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7th

WHEN:  WEDNESDAYS

WHERE:  BRYANT SCHOOL

TIME:  7-9PM

COST:  $3.00 EACH OR $6.00 FOR COUPLES

 

 

 The Instructor:  Dixie Brundage

L i n e    D a n c i n g

There will be two classes that meet each Friday, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

The morning classs will be for the more advanced dancers from 9:30 - 11:30. 

The afternoon session, 1:00 - 2:30 is set at a slower pace designed for the novice dancer. 

The dances will contain basic movements, which will be easy and fun to learn, the class is open to men and women of all ages.

Dixie  ia s line-dancing enthusiast with many years of line dancing experience.  Classes will be held each Friday through out the year. 

The cost for each individual class is:  $1.00 for Members

$4.00 for Non-Members
