Kristoph Kocan - Chief Executive Officer
Kristoph joined the Hornell YMCA staff in June 2019. A graduate of Clarion University, Kristoph was with the Meadville Family YMCA from 2012-2019 where he served as the Executive Director for the Downtown Branch. Before being an employee, he served as a member of the Board of Directors for 6 years. There he oversaw all facility management and competitive gymnastics and aquatics for the Meadville YMCA association and as well as help coach and work with the YMCA swim team both as a volunteer and as a staff member. Kristoph grew up in the Titusville YMCA where his father was the Exec Director. Both he and his wife share a passion for personal fitness and their children have grown up doing YMCA gymnastics, swimming, and other programs.
Nick Kowtun - Associate Executive Director
Nick Kowtun began his work with the YMCA in July 2014 in the Childcare Department. Nick has been overseeing our Aquatics Department since February of 2018. Nick enjoys helping members and the community while influencing the Y's mission.
Erica Ellis - Finance Director
Erica began working with the Hornell YMCA in 2013 with the Membership Department. Her role has since expanded to include Finance, Human Resources, and Membership. She also serves as a Kid Piano instructor for our Music and Arts Department. Erica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Management & Economics with a concentration in Accounting and Management. She also shares a passion for fitness and nutrition and enjoys helping others along their healthy living journey through our Y.
Kate Warren - Marketing & HR/Payroll Director
Kate joined the YMCA staff in January 2014 after moving from the great state of Ohio. She loves working with members and guests and helping them begin their involvement with the Y movement. She enjoys using her creative side to design marketing pieces for all of our programs and activities as well as managing the Hornell YMCA social media and website. Kate is currently working toward her Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, & Economics with a concentration on Marketing.
Rebecca Weaver Hamm - Music & Arts Director
Rebecca Weaver Hamm enjoys bringing music and art programming to the greater Hornell community through the Y. She joined the staff in 2011. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Wittenberg University and a Master of Arts in Voice Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. She also studied voice at the Eastman School of Music.
Bill DeMarr - Maintenance Director
Bill DeMarr has been with the YMCA since 2005. He helps provide a clean safe environment for our members and program participants to enjoy while they visit us.
John Lieb - Fitness Center Manager
Since 1998, John has led and coached both adult & youth basketball leagues and camps, provided personal training, and led the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Whether you’re 9 or 90, John is here to help.
Natalie Donahue - Aquatics Director
Natalie has been an employee at the Hornell YMCA since 2019. During her time here, she has worked as both a spin instructor and an aquatics instructor. In late 2021, she took over the role of our Aquatics Director. As a new member of our management team, she looks forward to furthering her career here at the YMCA with members and the Hornell community.
Trevor Stiles - Sports & Program Director
Trevor has been assisting the YMCA in our Sports & Program department for the last 7 years coaching our summer track program and running other programs including our men's league basketball, adult soccer, and various youth sports programs. Trevor also coaches football at Hornell High School and Track & Field at Alfred State College, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management.
Lindsay Fronk - Group Exercise Fitness Coordinator
Lindsay has been an instructor with the YMCA since 2012 with a specialty in Group Spin classes. Lindsay is the Group Exercise Fitness Coordinator for both the Hornell and the Dansville YMCA. Lindsay is an avid fitness advocate for the YMCA with online classes as well as in-person classes to help achieve fitness goals.
Chelsea Larson - Childcare Co-Director
Chelsea began her work with the YMCA Childcare Department in 2017 and took over as Childcare Co-Director in late 2021. She looks forward to expanding future and existing programs within the department. Chelsea has a Bachelor's Degree in Business with an early focus in Childhood Education and a major in Marketing.
Shannon Doyle - Childcare Co-Director
Shannon began working at the YMCA in early 2017 in the Childcare Department. Over the years, she has worked in several other departments, getting to know the staff, members, and guests. This allowed her to gain a deeper appreciation for what the Y means to the community. Shannon became the Childcare Co-Director in late 2021. She hopes to continue building relationships in the community as well as expand the programs that are offered to the families in the area.
